Lots of watches lately on the blog, and of course Sony has now announced the new SmartWatch aiming to compete with other smart watches like the Pebble I covered earlier. With a multi-touch OLED display and Android OS to back it up, the competition is heating...

NOOK Simple Touch with GlowLight

NOOK Simple Touch with GlowLight

It looks like Barnes & Noble has solved the lack of back light issue that has bothered owners of existing e-readers using e-ink. The new Nook Simple Touch contains a technology called GlowLight that allows the screen to glow in low light conditions. You still get all the benefits of paper-like reading in daylight but the ease of not needing to add an external light at night. Available for pre-order...

Canon EOS-1D C

Canon EOS-1D C

Canon has just released a new camera and it’s incredible. The Canon EOS-1D C has a 18.1 megapixel sensor and is capable of shooting stills while also shooting 4K video at 4096 x 2160 at 24 fps and 1080p from 24p to 60p. Of course it’s compatible with the full line of compact EF-mount lenses. The one thing they didn’t do is make a short URL for it. http://bit.ly/HCfnYy

Pebble E-Paper Watch

Pebble E-Paper Watch

The Pebble is a kickstarter project (yes, I know I’ve been featuring a lot lately) that includes a SDK so the watch can be customized in a vast number of ways. Change the display, get email notifications the possibilities are incredible. It’s clearly met it’s goal so it would be great to see this put into production...

Biegert & Funk QLOCKTWO W

The QLOCKTWO W (W is to distinguish the watch model) is a gorgeous, yet clean designed watch that opts for words and phrases instead of numbers to tell time. Hit the button on the side of the brushed aluminium face and the watch lights up to reveal a phrase like “Is it half past twelve” (pictured).  Available Fall 2012. http://www.qlocktwo.com/info_w.php?lang=en
